Welcome to the Keyport Yacht Club 2009 Bill Volk Regatta!

The Keyport Yacht Club is proud to once again be the local host of the Leukemia Cup Regatta to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The KYC Bill Volk Regatta is an exciting 2-day event that brings together hundreds of sailors competing in a variety of divisions. But, these sailors are united in their effort to raise money for the Leukemia &Lymphoma Society. And, KYC joins the many clubs around the country in supporting and promoting the important work of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Last year KYC raised over $35,000. While we realize the stark realities of the current economic situation, we are committed to besting that effort this year. The funds we raise raise will assist the mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society: to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. We can only achieve this goal with your help!

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society works tirelessly to help find a cure because the need is critical. Nearly 785,829 Americans have leukemia, Hodgkin or non-Hodgkin lymphoma or myeloma. Every five minutes, someone new is diagnosed with blood cancer. Leukemia is the leading cause of disease-related death among children and young adults under age 20. Society-funded research has directly contributed to many breakthrough cancer treatments, but there is still work to do.
